Silt deposits and excessive reed/weed growth can dramatically reduce the effective running of canals, rivers, lakes or attenuation ponds. From small sites such as entrances to dry docks and side ponds to larger expanses of canals or watercourses we have a wealth of experience in clearing silt and unwanted vegetation. Whether it be bulrushes, reeds or aquatic weeds we have the experience to remove it efficiently.
Our ability to position plant within small, poor access sites enables us to successfully clear the vegetation. In addition, we have a range of machinery and floating plant to accommodate any sized site and facilitate removal by water or road to deposit sites for drying and reuse as topsoil or compost. TYPES OF REED & WEED
There are many different types of Aquatic Vegetation. Some float on the top, others grow from the bottom, some form thick rafts and others complex root structures or rhizomes. The Rothen Group know the importance of effective and versatile methods of aquatic vegetation management, preventing overgrowth and disruption of watercourses by native and invasive plant* species.

CONVER BOAT
Highly maneuverable & effective boat at cutting the full range of aquatic vegetation. Can be fitted with different attachments:
- cutting heads
- baskets for collecting finer weed
- tined grab for submerged weed/reeds
- rake
Disposed aquatic vegetation can be placed onto banks or into hoppers.
PADDLE BOAT
Excellent for shallow water and heavy weed situations, our paddle boats can be fitted with a variety of different cutting heads and rakes. Can place on to bank or into hoppers.
TRUXOR BOAT
The Rothen Group can supply lightweight, amphibious truxor boats, able to work in minimal water / damp areas as well as deep water. Can place on to bank or into hoppers.
Low ground impact for ecological sensitive sites resulting in minimal impact to flora & fauna.
HARVESTER BOAT
Our weed harvester boat is capable of
cutting, collecting & discharging to the bank or into a hopper. Highly effective at clearing duckweed. Can store up to 3.5m3 within tank before discharging.
