JOB DESCRIPTION
Machine Operative
Love working outdoors? Have a love of all things water? We are looking for someone to work on site and operate our machinery such as diggers and excavators and are therefore currently recruiting into the position of a Machine Operative.
Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
This role will be predominately based outdoors, and so it’s important that you enjoy all weathers. There will be a physical element to this job, and the role will require periods of working away overnight and some unsociable hours.
Responsibilities:
Operating machinery - Diggers/Excavators (above and below 10 tonne) etc
Use technology to communicate with the office regarding jobs and workload
Representing our company whilst interacting with visitors to the canal and volunteer groups
Lone working in line with our company lone working policy
Essential:
Must have a valid UK driving licence as you will be expected to drive company vehicles
Desirable:
Machine operating experience
CSCS
First Aid
Long reach operating experience
Salary depending on experience. You will be paid by the hour.
Full time working hours 7am-5pm with a total of 1-hour unpaid breaks.
Overtime may be available including weekends.
