Access Steps

The Rothen Group’s contracting team have been busy installing steps down to a waterway to provide access for maintenance. This was a very difficult site to access, with the nearest road being 3 miles away. This meant all materials had to be floated to site on work boats. Our powered workboat was utilised as this could lift materials onto the bank using a 2.5t excavator, as well as provide welfare & security for tools etc.

The access steps were constructed from timber and filled with stone to create a free draining but stable and compacted surface suitable for all weathers.
