INFORMATION SHEETS
A common problem when performing maintenance or restoration work on inland waterways is access. When there’s not enough land to accommodate a crane, lifting and moving materials becomes a major challenge. This vessel is the answer. It combines stable lifting capabilities with a compact footprint, going where no other pontoon can.
Hydraulic stabiliser legs extend up to 1.7 metres (with option 1 metre extensions) to provide a solid, stable working base – crucial when lifting heavy objects. Meanwhile, the modular structure, with sections weighing approximately 2 tonnes, can be rapidly mobilised via a Hiab lorry.
When crane use isn’t required, the unit can be removed to carry a mini digger (up to 2.5 tonnes), transforming the pontoon into a specialist plant transporter. The vessel’s side stability tanks can be rotated to the rear, allowing it to pass easily through narrow bridges and locks.
Whether working alone or as part of a larger fleet, this pontoon delivers reliable performance for light-to-medium duty projects in complex or restricted-access locations.
