The Narrow Beam Digger Pontoon is a specialist waterway excavation platform, designed to transport machinery and provide a stable on-water work surface. Built for versatility, the vessel can carry up to a 2.5-tonne digger, allowing digging either on deck or from the bank.

INFORMATION SHEETS
Its modular frame pins together and can be lifted via a Hiab lorry, making mobilisation simple. The vessel includes four hydraulic stability legs, powered by an onboard unit. These anchor the platform securely for safe on-board operation even when tracking the machine along its 24ft working deck.
The vessel is the narrowest option in our pontoon fleet available to hire. At 24ft long and 7ft wide without the stability tanks, it can pass through most locks and under tight bridges. The side-mounted tanks can be rotated or removed to reduce width, while the 400mm draft makes it ideal for shallow water projects.
The legs extend up to 1.5 metres below the vessel, with optional 1 metre extensions for deeper water. A central module can be added to further expand the pontoon to 14ft wide – this accommodates machines up to 5 tonnes. Perfect for larger projects that require a stable, floating work base.
Suitable for piling, dredging, vegetation clearance, towpath works, and any project where road access is limited. It’s a go-to solution for reliable, low-impact waterborne operations.
