Product Description
One of the biggest challenges on canals and rivers is getting materials to the site. Without road or towpath access, materials hoppers are the go-to option. The Rothen Group’s fleet of material hoppers includes both tanked and untanked models that are ideal for transporting dredged silt, vegetation, or construction materials.

INFORMATION SHEETS
Designed for shallow watercourses, these vessels combine generous carrying capacity with minimal draft. Even when fully loaded, our tanked 70ft hoppers draw just 8 inches of water. That makes it a powerful and versatile vessel for almost all kinds of maintenance and restoration work, hauling everything you need to get the job done.
Our hoppers are engineered for the secure and efficient transport of up to 30 tonnes of bulk material. Our hoppers feature large internal holds, stable beams, and rugged construction. They’re suitable for regular use in civil engineering, maintenance, and dredging projects.
Then there’s the matter of getting it to and from the site. This crane-mobilised material hopper can be lifted on and off a Hiab lorry or flatbed, allowing the vessel to be delivered and deployed rapidly. Use a single hopper or integrate it as part of a barge train.
