Coming in at up to 11ft 4in wide, this vessel isn’t designed for the narrowest of channels. Instead, it delivers high thrust in low-speed conditions, perfect for precise manoeuvring even in restricted or shallow environments. These tugs provide both a stable working platform and a powerful towing capability, transporting everything from pontoons and barges to bulk materials along the waterway network.
Some models even feature onboard welfare units or enclosed tool storage for prolonged shifts at remote sites. It’s just another way to boost operational efficiency. Several tugs are also modular and Hiab-transportable, making them suitable for jobs in remote or difficult-to-access areas. Simply load it onto a Hiab lorry, transport it to your access point, unload, and head upstream.
