After working with CRT’s 3rd party works team we have successfully obtained a permit for private moorings in Colwich. The works not only created a new mooring but also stabilised the bank. The works were undertaken with our grab barge, which could load, carry and install the materials (piles, concrete and bricks) to site.

The materials had to be loaded 2 miles away as there was no access through the back garden and then floated to site. Due to the works being in a heritage area, brickwork was requested to finish the canal bank wall above water level. This was built onto a foundation, supported by L8 piles which were again installed from the crane boat using a hydraulic piling hammer.
