AUDIT (SHEQ) & INSURANCE EXECUTIVE
Job Purpose
Our fast-growing company is looking for an individual to take responsibility and lead our auditing and SHEQ processes as well as manage all insurances across our group of businesses. This brand-new position has been created to add to our expanding team.
Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
About the role:
As an Auditing (SHEQ) and Insurance Executive you will take the lead and manage all aspects of our current auditing process and insurance policies for all areas of the business. Our auditing systems require a dedicated person to manage and develop the processes, and our insurance policies require an individual to take ownership. You must have the right proactive approach to be able to make this role your own and set up new systems and processes. You will need to be resilient, be able to work under pressure, and have good problem-solving ability. The ideal applicant will have good organisational skills as well as the ability to take initiative and contribute to the effective running of the company and feed into the wider business.
Responsibilities:

Working alongside the company directors to manage auditing processes and insurances

Ensure all audits are effectively planned and conducted

You will be responsible for identifying areas of noncompliance, reporting on such issues to the senior team, and following through on corrective actions

Update relevant systems to ensure records are maintained and an audit trail is recorded

Promote an understanding and awareness of policies and procedures and ensures these are reflected in everyday practices

Participate in the development of audit training and deliver briefings to staff

Managing all insurances across our group of companies

Liaising directly with insurance brokers and negotiating to secure the best deals

Complete tasks associated with other projects as instructed by the Managing Directors
Essential:
-
A background in compliance, SHEQ & audit essential

Experience of managing company insurance policies

Display good attention to detail

Must have a valid UK driving licence as you may be required to drive company vehicles from time to time
Desirable:
-
Experience of working with Achilles audits & management of ISO accreditations
Salary £25-35k (depending on experience)
Working hours – full time preferred but hours negotiable working each day Mon-Fri (would suit working parent)
